VERNON, CT — The latest trek to a Hidden Gem takes us to one of the most unique hiking experiences in the north central portion of Connecticut.

It's the Talcottville Ravine in Vernon.

The Ravine trail begins at the cup-de-sac by Talcottville Pond off Main Street. It proceeds along the northern side of the pond and then heads east along a stretch of the Tankerhoosen River, past the former Dobsonville Mill site.
