CONCORD, NH — New Hampshire State Police troopers are investigating a fatal rollover crash in Lincoln on Sunday.

Around 6:45 p.m., troopers were sent to Interstate 93 south in the area of Mile Marker 104.4 for a report of an SUV rollover. A white 2011 Infiniti QX56 was found on its roof on the highway's right shoulder, Amber Lagace, the public information officer for state police, said.

“According to witness statements and roadway evidence,” she said, “the operator of the Infiniti was driving on wet roads and in rainy conditions when an animal came out onto the roadway south of Franconia Notch. The driver swerved to the right side of the road where the vehicle overturned and struck a stone wall marking the sign for ‘Leaving Franconia Notch State Park.’”
