NASHUA, NH — Ten people were arrested while 69 vehicles were stopped during a saturation patrol Friday on the Everett Turnpike in Nashua.

“Five of those arrests were for DWI,” she said, “one arrest was for reckless driving, where a Trooper stopped a vehicle traveling 108 mph and two of the 10 arrests involved vehicles with minors accompanying the drivers.”

Fatal Motorcycle Crash In Milton
State police were sent to a single motorcycle crash, with possible serious injuries, on Route 16 north in Milton around 3:15 p.m. on April 29.
When they arrived, they found Leigh Nichols, 53, of Wakefield, deceased at the scene.
“A preliminary investigation indicates that excess speed was a factor when the motorcycle left the roadway and struck a tree,” Lagace said. “Witnesses reported that no other vehicles were involved or suspected of being involved in this crash.”
All other aspects of the crash remain under investigation and any additional witnesses are asked to contact Trooper Jon Minnich at 603-223-8490 or Jonathan.D.Minnich@dos.nh.gov.
New Hampshire State Police were assisted at the scene by the Wakefield Police Department and Milton Fire Department.

Man Accused Of Using To Fake Docs To Obtain A Vehicle Title
Troopers from Troop G on May 3 were at the Manchester Division of Motor Vehicles conducting salvage inspections. A salvage inspection is conducted on vehicles that have been classified as a total loss by an insurance company and have subsequently been repaired, Lagace said.
“Upon completion of such inspection, a decal is affixed to the vehicle denoting that it is salvaged, and a new title is issued by the Division of Motor Vehicles,” she said.
While there, they were made aware of a man accused of attempting to submit fraudulent documents to obtain a New Hampshire motor vehicle title. The man, Joel Panigua, 35, of Methuen, Massachusetts, was arrested and charged with unsworn falsification and two tampering with public records charges. He will be arraigned in Manchester District Court on June 12.
Anyone with information about this case was encouraged to contact Lieutenant James O’Leary at James.G.Oleary@dos.nh.gov.
