5 Charged After Portsmouth Sobriety Checkpoint

Police: Nearly 200 vehicles were stopped on Friday night and Saturday morning.

PORTSMOUTH, NH — The Portsmouth Police Department held another sobriety checkpoint last week and issued five charges against motorists, according to a press statement. The checkpoint was held on Lafayette Road, Lt. Michael Maloney of the Portsmouth Police Department noted. Charged during the checkpoint were:

  • Samantha Polland, 24, of Dolby Road in Lebanon, ME, for possession of controlled drug-marijuana.
  • Hannah Asiala, 24, of Forest Street in Dover, for possession of controlled drug-marijuana.
  • Mark Harrison, 36, of Renaud Avenue in Dover, for felony possession of controlled drug-cocaine.
  • Fabio Dasilva, 40, of Woodman St. in Newburyport, MA, for operating without a valid license.
  • A 15-year-old juvenile male for possession of controlled drug-marijuana.
