The Sandy Hook-based Coast Guard rescued a man who was having chest pains on a Liberian oil tanker in the Ambrose Channel Wednesday night.

Police say a Keansburg man broke into cars in Fair Haven July 9-10. He tried to sell one of the stolen items in Asbury Park, cops said.
New details: The car that hit him fled the scene. The man tumbled down an embankment and had to crawl back up and flag down a passing car.
The checkpoint will go from 9 p.m. Friday through 1 a.m. Saturday on River Road; cars will be pulled over into the Acme parking lot.

On July 20, 2017, he entered the Investors Bank on Rt. 36 in Navesink and told a teller to give him all the money. The FBI arrested him.
A Rumson-Fair Haven grad now at Cornell was arrested after the FBI said they found bomb-making chemicals and an AR-15 in his Ithaca apt.

A home under construction was completely destroyed by a fire that broke out Christmas morning in Monmouth Beach.
Another fisherman saw Ronald Moore, 69, of Union, getting pulled out into the icy ocean water yesterday morning and called 911.
Breaking: A man fishing off Sandy Hook's fishing beach was pulled out to sea Wednesday morning. He was rescued, but died.

This adult buck got tangled in a soccer net at Henry Hudson Regional High School Monday. A buck also fell into a pool in Secaucus Saturday.
The burglary occurred at an Asbury Avenue home, between Grand and Navesink avenues. It was reported to police Oct. 31.

People actually had to jump into the Shrewsbury River when the 19-foot Sea Doo Speedster caught fire at 3 p.m. near the Rumson Country Club.
Police have long had an issue with teens sneaking into this vacant house on Rumson Road. He was charged with burglary.
