When a car owner's check engine light went on, an auto shop in the Franconia area found sleeping baby squirrels inside the engine compartment. The workers went to a local pet store and bought special milk to feed them until animal control arrived.

First Female Eagle Scout In McLean's Oldest Boy Scout Troop Named
Rishika Singh, a member of Girls' Troop 128, was the first girl from her troop to achieve the Eagle Scout rank. The Eagle Scout rank is the highest rank of Boy Scouts of America and requires a service project, merit badges and other requirements. Troop 128 is McLean's oldest Boy Scout troop.
9 VA Billionaires Are Among World’s Richest: Forbes 2022 List
The recently released Forbes World's Billionaires List includes one new Virginia billionaire from a year ago. Richard Fairbank, the chairman and CEO of Capital One Financial, a U.S. bank known for its credit cards, made it on the list with a net worth of $1.1 billion.
Alexandria Teacher Marks 90th Birthday, Remains In Classroom
Louis Kokonis is familiar with milestones. Now the Alexandria City High School math teacher marked another one with his 90th birthday at the start of April, and he isn't ready to retire yet even after 63 years of teaching math at Alexandria City Public Schools.
Burke Woman Wins $2M Top Prize In Virginia Lottery Game
A Burke woman won the $2 million top prize in the Virginia Lottery's $2,000,000 Bonus Multiplier game after buying tickets at a local convenience store. "It's just kind of numbing," Cindy Lopez said.
