WASHINGTON, DC — President Donald Trump is famous for waving off experts and reports as "fake news." So as warnings reached a crescendo Monday not to look directly at the sun, it's perhaps not a surprise he was captured by photographers staring directly at the solar eclipse at the White House.

DC Solar Eclipse: Live Updates/Feed
The Great American Solar Eclipse has begun. The very first little piece of the moon was pushing into the sun's profile way out on the West Coast shortly after noon. It should begin to cover the sun here in the D.C. area at around 1:20 p.m., reaching its highest coverage (82 percent) at 2:42 p.m. in the District and completely ending at around 4 p.m.

MetroBus Crash Injures 7 People In Northwest Washington, Police Say
WASHINGTON, DC — Seven people were injured after a bus narrowly avoided crashing into a building near the Capital One Arena, formerly the Verizon Center, on H Street. The driver hit multiple parked cars in the area, DC Fire and EMS officials said.
