Northern Virginia jurisdictions dominated the rankings of a new study that looked at the most charitable residents in the state, with Falls Church leading the way as the most generous jurisdiction, according to a new study by SmartAsset.

The tradition of the Tinner Hill Music Festival carries on for a 27th year in 2021. The festival is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 21 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Cherry Hill Park. The festival celebrates the legacy of African American music and the Tinner Hill Heritage Foundation.

Northern Virginia Fuels State’s Population Growth: Census
Among Virginia's 10 most populous localities, the fastest growth occurred in Prince William and Loudoun counties, in the outer suburbs of the nation's capital. Prince William's population increased 20 percent, and surpassed Virginia Beach as the state's second most populous locality.
