VA Governor Reports 1 Death From Isaias; 60K Homes Without Power
Tropical Storm Isaias caused one death in Virginia as more than 40 tornado warnings were issued when the storm swept through the state Tuesday morning, Gov. Ralph Northam said Wednesday at a news conference in Richmond. The death occurred in Lancaster County where the National Weather Service reported that a tornado struck near the town of Kilmarnock.
App Launches To Notify Contacts Of Coronavirus Cases In Virginia
The Virginia Department of Health has launched an app to notify people of potential contact with confirmed coronavirus cases. The COVIDWISE app sends an alert if a person has been close to a person who tested positive for the virus.

DC Coronavirus Testing Sites Reopen With 2-Hour Delay
A day after the D.C. government temporary closed its coronavirus testing sites due to Tropical Storm Isaias, the District's testing sites reopen Wednesday at 10 a.m. This is two hours later than usual. Regular hours will resume Thursday.
Virginia Will Require Tracking Codes On All Absentee Ballot Envelopes
All Virginia voters who cast absentee ballots will send their forms back in envelopes marked with tracking codes, according to a new rule adopted Tuesday by the State Board of Elections.
