Trumbull Local Election Results 2019: Full Results

First Selectman Vicki Tesoro has won another term. Here are the full election results for town council and other races.

TRUMBULL, CT — First Selectman Vicki Tesoro has declared victory in the Trumbull race over Republican challenger Michael Herbst. Tesoro got around 67 percent of the vote to Herbst's roughly 38 percent. Democratic candidates for town clerk and treasurer also won.

"We faced a very difficult opponent who followed the conventional wisdom that negative campaigns win," she said in a statement. "We chose the path of civility and guess what.... we won."

She went on to say her campaign had better ideas, a better team and a better run campaign.

The candidates for Board of Education are: Democrats D. Scot Kerr, Tim Gallo, Lucinda Timpanelli, Kathleen Fearon and Michael Ward versus Republicans Marie Petitti, Stuart Schwartz, Loretta Chory, Jackie Norcel and Jeffrey Donofrio.

For Planning and Zoning its Democrats Fred Garrity Jr. and Tony Silber versus Republicans Rich Deecken and Mark Block.

For Zoning Board of Appeals term beginning 2019 its Democrat Steve Elbaum versus Republican Evan Centopani. For the 2020 beginning term its Democrat Normal Weller versus Republican Richard Mayo.

For constables its Democrats Raymond Baldwin and David Kayne versus Republicans Victor Pioli and James Battistelli.

For Board of Assessment Appeals its Democrat Gail Ayotte versus Republican Launa Whalen Riley.
First District

The candidates for Town Council are: Democrats Mary Isaac, Bill Mecca, Mike Miller and Dawn Cantafio versus Republicans Damon Sementilli, Donna Seidell, Paul Verbitsky and Alex Vazzano.
Second District

The candidates for Town Council are: Democrats Kevin Shively, Tom Whitmoyer, Keith Klain and Mary Beth Thornton versus Republicans Katie Miller Creagh, Tony Scinto, Susan Fatse and Christy Hayes.

Third District

The candidates for Town Council are: Democrats Eric Paulson, Joanne Glasser-Orenstein, Jason Marsh and Christine El Eris versus Republicans Lori Rosasco-Schwartz, Chris Bandecchi, Alison Squiccimarro and Carl Massaro Jr.. Brandon Cousins is running as a member of the Libertarian Party.
Fourth District

The candidates for Town Council are: Democrats Lisa Valenti, Joy Colon, Joe Gerics, Bruce Elstein and Ashley Gaudiano versus Republicans Ola Leira, Joe Pifko, Gaspar Reyes, Steve Lemoine and Lisette Colon.
