CONCORD, NH — More than four dozen drivers were observed committing driving violations, including some traveling more than 100 mph on Interstate 93 in Salem.
New Hampshire State Police conducted a special enforcement unit traffic initiative on Dec. 23 on the northbound side of the highway. Troopers were utilized in the air and reported seeing 52 violations, including speeding, distracted driving, following too closely, and reckless driving.
“Of the violations,” Michal Sventek, a public information officer for the department, said, “20 drivers were seen traveling 90 miles per hour or greater, and five drivers were driving recklessly, traveling faster than 100 miles per hour.”

The department said it would continue to work with the Office of Highway Safety to conduct focused traffic enforcement, reducing speed and crashes, and ensuring safety.
