CONCORD, NH — A New Hampshire man, wanted after allegedly robbing three banks in the Granite State, was arrested today in Massachusetts, according to the U.S. Marshals Service. Daryl Gurley, 24, was arrested on Feb. 21, 2018, in a local restaurant-bakery in Lawrence, MA. Gurley also had two outstanding warrants in New Hampshire for probation violations stemming from his prior convictions for larceny and receiving stolen property. In addition to his New Hampshire warrants, Gurley had two outstanding warrants in Massachusetts for theft and narcotics charges, according to White.
“During the past month, members of the NH Joint Fugitive Task Force have worked tirelessly to locate Mr. Gurley in both NH and Massachusetts,” White stated. “Today, the U.S. Marshals, NH Joint Fugitive Task Force, with the assistance of the Lawrence Police Department and the DEA’s, Cross Border Initiative, investigators were able to zero in on a location for Mr. Gurley. After a period of surveillance, a man matching the description of Gurley was seen walking on a street to a local bakery/restaurant in downtown Lawrence. At this location, this man was positively identified as Gurley and arrested without incident.”

At the time of arrest, Gurley was allegedly found to be in possession of more than $2,000 and a quantity of narcotics believed to fentanyl, White alleged. He was charged in Lawrence as on a fugitive from justice charge, his Massachusetts warrants, and a drug charge. He will be arraigned tomorrow.
“The dedicated investigators of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force worked seamlessly with agencies throughout NH and Massachusetts to locate and arrest a very dangerous fugitive,” said U.S. Marshal David L. Cargill Jr. “I cannot thank the men and women of law enforcement enough for their dedication and hard work to ensure that justice is served and our neighborhoods are a little bit safer tonight after the arrest of Mr. Gurley.”
White noted that the investigation was organized by Hillsborough, Rockingham, Belknap and Strafford County Sheriff’s Offices, the Federal Protective Service, the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Greenfield Police Department, and deputy U.S. Marshals, with assistance of police officers in Lawrence, Derry, Londonderry, and Windham.
