5 Vehicle Crash Reported In Nashua

Around 5 p.m. on Friday, state police from Troop B were called to a multi-vehicle crash on the Everett Turnpike south near Exit 5 in Nashua.

After an investigation of the crash, state police said a Mercedes E-Class, being driven by Vinicius Borges, 28, of Nashua was traveling south when it struck two Honda motorcycles that had stopped due to the traffic. One motorcycle was being driven by Brian Connelly, 27, of Nashua, while the other was being driven by Laurie Connelly, 28, of Nashua. One of the motorcycles was pushed into a Dodge Durango driven by Shannon Clifford, 50, which was then forced into a Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Michael Kane, 58.

The motorcyclists were taken to the hospital for treatment.

Troopers at the scene were assisted by the Nashua Police Department, Nashua Fire Department, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.

“Multiple lanes of the F.E. Everett Turnpike Southbound at Exit 5 were shut down for approximately one and a half hours during this incident,” Lagace said. “It appears as though operator distraction contributed to this crash; however, all aspects of it are being investigated.”
