Log: Woman Says Smashing Phone, Assaulting Others 'Worth Going to Jail Over'

Plus, Concord Police track homeless people sleeping in garage, make arrests for assault, violation of protective order, other crimes.

Tracy L. Perley, 48, a homeless woman now located in Concord, (pictured) was arrested at 2:55 p.m. on Oct. 15, and charged with two counts of simple assault, criminal mischief, and default or breach of bail conditions. According to an arrest report and court affidavit, officers were sent to the park-and-ride off Constitution Avenue near The Friendly Kitchen for a fight between two women. The victim alleged that she and Perley were having problems in their relationship and were fighting. Perley asked to use her Samsung cellphone and then allegedly threw it on the ground, smashing it. She then allegedly began punching one of the woman’s friends, a man, allegedly stating, “This is worth going to jail over.” The woman struck Perley back and then police arrived. A number of witnesses gave statements and Perley was arrested and held without bail.

Michael R. Haynes, 33, of Shaker Road in Concord, was arrested at 5:29 p.m. on Oct. 17, on simple assault and prohibited sales; alcoholic beverages. Officers were sent to The Friendly Kitchen for a report of a fight. A man alleged that Haynes hit him several times after an argument about a woman. While on the call, a woman approached the officer and alleged that Haynes had given her underage son, David Partridge, alcohol and he was now reportedly heavily intoxicated and vomiting. Haynes was arrested and held without bail.

Scott Michael Boynton, 32, of Rumford Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:44 p.m. on Oct. 18, on a violation of a protective order; penalty. According to an arrest report and court affidavit, officers were sent to an apartment on Old Suncook Road to speak to a woman who alleged that her ex had violated a domestic violence order by texting her and then appearing at her home. The officer checked the text and then, rang the number. “Boynton answered and then hung up,” according to the officer. A neighbor allegedly heard Boynton knocking on her door and yelling at the woman. A be-on-the-lookout (BOLO) call was put out for Boynton and he was arrested later and held without bail.

Roy J. Aikens, 51, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. on Oct. 19, on a default or breach of bail conditions charge. An officer was sent to Thorndike Street for a disturbance. He arrived and spoke to Aikens, who had a bloody nose and was sitting on the front steps. When asked what happened, Aikens said he didn’t want to talk about it and wasn’t “a rat.” Another officer arrived and spoke to the resident and others and they denied anything happened. Aikens later said he fell down and tripped on the table which caused his injury. Aikens was allegedly intoxicated, a violation of his bail, and he was arrested and held.

Deanne I. Jacobson, 23, of Dybeck Street in Worcester, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 20, on possession of controlled drugs and possession of drugs charges. On North Main Street, an officer reportedly saw a vehicle pull a U-turn outside of the Holiday Inn. The vehicle was pulled over and Jacobson said she was returning to NHTI, according to the officer. While speaking with Jacobson, the officer alleged that there was “an overwhelming odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle.” Jacobson allegedly admitted to having marijuana and said it was for medical reasons, but she didn’t her paperwork. She allegedly handed a small jar and pipe to the officer and was arrested.

Crystal Tiffany Davis, 26, of Royal Gardens in Concord, was arrested at 1:44 a.m. on Oct. 20, and charged with simple assault and criminal mischief from Oct. 19, at 10 Royal Gardens. She’s due in court on Dec. 8.

Matthew Richard Green, 27, of County Road in New London, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. on Oct. 20, on possession of controlled drugs and possession of drugs charges. While on North State Street, an officer saw a Toyota Tundra drifting over the white line and was pulled over. The driver, Green, apologized for weaving, stating he was tired and on his way home from a concert, according to the report. The officer reportedly smelled marijuana coming from the car and asked if he had been smoking. Green allegedly stated he hadn’t but later, allegedly handed over a pipe with burnt marijuana in it and was arrested. He’s due in court on Dec. 8.

Jonathan May, 27, of Pembroke Road in Concord, was arrested at 2:44 p.m. on Oct. 20, on a criminal trespass charge. Officers were on foot patrol near the railroad tracks on Constitution Avenue when they encountered May and another person sitting under some tarps that appeared to be a campsite even though there were “no trespass” and “no camping” signs all over the area. May had been warned not to be on the tracks on Oct. 15, so he was arrested. Since May was on parole for armed robbery, he was held without bail.

Brian David Herra, 51, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons for passing items to or from the occupant of a vehicle. An officer allegedly saw Herra step into the road for something while at the southbound Exit 14 off-ramp. The person in the vehicle, it was discovered later, gave Herra a bag an M&Ms. He’s due in court on Dec. 15.

Tiffany Nedeau, 26, of Fisherville Road in Concord, received a summons at 1:45 a.m. on Oct. 21, for operating without a valid license after a traffic stop on North Main Street for driving through a crosswalk when pedestrian was standing at the crosswalk. Her license, however, expired on Oct. 9, and she was given a summons.

Eric T. Grant, 65, of North Spring Street in Concord, received a summons at 5:41 a.m. on Oct. 22, for disturbing noises, generally. A Washington Street resident filed complaints about Grant allegedly driving past his home, early in the morning, with a loud exhaust. Police conducted a patrol in the area for the vehicle to see if the complaint was legitimate and the officer alleged that the exhaust was loud and he was cited.

Matthew James Hillsgrove, 40, of North Spring Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:22 a.m. on Oct. 22, on a bench warrant and two felony counts of possession of controlled drugs. Officers were sent to the probation office on North State Street to take custody of Hillsgrove who was wanted by Salem District Court for nonappearance in court, Aug. 13, $2,500 cash bail. Hillsgrove allegedly stated that he missed the date due to being incarcerated. After being arrested, officers allegedly found a Lorazepam tablet and a chunk of heroin.

Jennifer Renee Boudle, 27, of Vinton Drive in Concord, was arrested at 2:08 p.m. on Oct. 22, on a bench warrant out of Concord District Court from Oct. 15, $385 cash to settle. She paid the fine and was released.

Benjamin Berry, 20, a homeless man now located in Concord, received a summons at 6:43 a.m. on Oct. 23, for a generic city ordinance violation. Officers patrolling the Capitol Commons Garage, looking for homeless people who have been reportedly sleeping in stairwells, allegedly found Berry sleeping in a sleeping bag in the stairwell, blocking people from being able to access the stairs. He was moved along.

Jason Edward Brooks, 35, of Washington Street in Concord, was arrested at 9:40 p.m. on Oct. 23, on a bench warrant. Officers were sent to a report of an underage drinking party on Washington Street in Penacook. When they arrived, they didn’t see a party. A man at the home, Brooks, however, had an active warrant out of Concord District Court, $1,000 cash, on Oct. 21. Brooks said his attorney told him that he didn’t need to appear on that date but another date and produced paperwork. He was arrested and later released on PR bail.
