Sanbornton Man Indicted On Fentanyl Sale Charge: Merrimack County Superior Court Indictment Roundup
Plus: Barnstead, Concord, Franklin, Hooksett residents indicted on drug charges; Hooksett man indicted after crash with injury charge.

CONCORD, NH — A grand jury in Merrimack County recently indicted the people listed below.
Sonya Spooner, 47, of Victory Drive in Franklin, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-possession of a narcotic drug-subsequent charge on Aug. 26, 2025. Previously, according to the indictment, she was convicted on a drug possession charge in Merrimack County Superior Court in April 2024.
James C. Strahan, 40, of Stage Road in Sanbornton, on a felony sale of a narcotic drug-subsequent-fentanyl charge in Northfield on July 16, 2025. Previously, according to the indictment, he was convicted of drug possession in Merrimack County Superior Court in November 2018.

Giovanni R. Thomas, 30, of Poore Road in Hooksett on two felony possession of a narcotic drug-subsequent charges, crack cocaine and fentanyl, on June 1, 2025, in Hooksett. Previously, according to the indictment, he was convicted in Derry District Court on March 2025.
Aaron C. Thurber, 22, of Dale Road in Hooksett, on a felony reckless conduct charge. He was accused of placing a worker in danger of serious bodily injury and striking them by driving through a construction zone in Hooksett at a high rate of speed on Aug. 12, 2025.

Chad M. Turck, 39, of Shackford Corner Road in Barnstead, on two felony possession of a controlled drug charges, methamphetamine and crack cocaine, on June 22, 2025, in Hooksett.
Merrick A. Vanhoesen, 30, of Catamount Road in Pittsfield, on a felony operating after certification as a habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving on Depot Street in Pittsfield after being certified as a habitual offender in June 2024.

Joan Veroneau, 67, a homeless woman now located in Concord, on a felony possession of crack cocaine charge on Dec. 2, 2024, in Concord.
Jayson E. Walsh, 39, of Rice Avenue in Nashua, on a felony possession of a narcotic drug-subsequent offense on May 9, 2024, in Hooksett. Previously, according to the indictment, he was convicted of acts prohibited in Merrimack County Superior Court in November 2019.
Adam Willette, 42, of Lake Shore Drive in Northwood, on two felony tampering with witnesses and informants charges. He was accused of contacting the victim of a pending domestic investigation against him and suggesting if the victim did not testify, the case would get dropped, on May 23, and May 24, 2025, in Concord.
Jessica D. Wilson, 48, of North Main Street in Boscawen, on two controlled drug act; acts prohibited, meth and fentanyl, two controlled drug act; acts prohibited-subsequent charges, meth and fentanyl, and falsifying physical evidence charges, all felonies. She was accused of possessing the drugs in Hooksett on March 7, 2025. Wilson was also accused of swallowing a plastic baggie of drugs, suspected to be cocaine, in the backseat of a police cruiser to impair an investigation. Previously, according to the indictment, she was convicted of a drug related offense in Rockingham County Superior Court in March 2022.
Nicholas T. Woods, 42, of no fixed address in Franklin, on a felony controlled act; acts prohibited-meth charge on July 1, 2025, in Franklin.
Troy W. Zanis, 50, of Old Turnpike Road in Epsom, on a felony operating while certified as a habitual offender charge. He was accused of driving on Washington Street in Concord on June 4, 2025, after being deemed a habitual offender by the NH DMV in September 2000.
