CONCORD, NH – James N. Chestnut III, 20, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 3:15 a.m. on May 30, 2106, for driving after revocation or suspension, disobeying an officer, and a bench warrant for nonappearance in Concord District Court, issued on May 16, on a controlled drug acts prohibited charge. An officer was sent to the McDonald’s Restaurant on Loudon Road for a report of a suspicious vehicle. The officer eyed the vehicle – a Pontiac Grand Am, with four people inside – spoke to the employee, and then made contact before the vehicle left the restaurant. The officer spoke to the driver – who reportedly identified himself as “Michael Shadick” from Massachusetts and where they were all coming from – Plymouth, they said, according to the report. One of the passengers was reportedly “extremely rude” and cut off the officer when he was trying to speak to the driver, according to the officer. Dispatch said a check of the name didn’t come back to anyone on file. After some back and forth, the driver was arrested and after being cuffed, allegedly admitted his was Chestnut. He also had a suspended license, according to the report. Chestnut is due in court on July 11.
