Alexandra S. Kalioras, 22, of North Spring Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:55 a.m. on Aug. 6, 2015, on a driving while intoxicated charge. Two officers were sent to the McDonald’s Restaurant for a possible impaired driver while a sergeant hunted down the vehicle on Downing Street. The sergeant alleged that the SUV made abrupt turns and stops and starts. It also appeared that the driver was not taking a direct route, driving from West to South State back onto West onto Huchinson and then onto Downing Street where the vehicle was pulled over. The reporting officer went to Downing Street and spoke to Kalioras who was seated in the driver’s seat of the Lexus. She reportedly stated that she lost her license but did have a passport and then “fumbled around the car for roughly two minutes but could not locate the passport,” according to the report. She was asked to step out of the vehicle and allegedly smelled like alcohol. When asked how much she had to drink, she allegedly twice denied drinking. When the officer stated she smelled like alcohol, she reportedly stated she was out with friends earlier celebrating a birthday. She reportedly stated she stopped on Downing Street to visit a friend in one of the apartments but later, a tenant stated that she didn’t know Kalioras or her passengers and her friend didn’t live there. The sergeant also checked and couldn’t find the name on a mailbox or in the dispatcher’s system as living at the apartment. After some back and forth, Kalioras was arrested. The witness at McDonald’s alleged that Kalioras “came into the drive-thru and was slurring her words as she spoke” and was “very belligerent.” She’s due in court on Aug. 24.
