Police were sent to a report of a domestic incident in the parking lot of the Storrs Street Market Basket involving a couple that were preparing to leave in a red Rav4, according to a court affidavit. The officer followed the vehicle and reported that it had made “abrupt stops,” drifted into the center median, onto the cobblestones. The vehicle was pulled over near the clock tower and the driver allegedly switched seats with a female passenger, according to the affidavit. The woman was “crying hysterically” and later, after being separated, reportedly told the officer that the argument was about Vincent’s alleged drinking. Another officer allegedly found an open can of Bud Ice on the floor between Vincent’s legs. When he was asked to get out of the vehicle, he was allegedly tripping over his own feet, had no balance, and smelled like alcohol. A check of Vincent yielded a habitual offender status and suspended license so he was immediately arrested. After being told he had to raise $5,000 cash bail, he allegedly refused to sign the paperwork and yelled, “F--- you, c---,” picked up a cup of water, and threw it in in the bail bondswoman’s face. A simple assault charge was added and he was held.
