Police were sent to Broad Avenue at around 8 a.m. for a man who claimed his girlfriend assaulted him. She later fled the scene and he noted that she might be heading to work in Merrimack. Police checked her apartment but she wasn’t there, according to the report. The man alleged that while taking a shower, he heard banging on his door. He went out to see who it was and it was Devine. He opened the door to speak with her and she allegedly was upset and screaming at him. The man walked to his bedroom and Devine allegedly “picked up an Xbox game controller and threw it towards him,” causing a chip in the dining room wall. She allegedly pushed items off a table causing a bottle of Armani Code cologne to shatter. The man then alleged that Devine pushed him twice and threw a clay pot at him striking him in the stomach. The officer noted the disarray in the bedroom and injuries including cut hands with blood. During a phone conversation with Devine, she reportedly denied assaulting the man. She later, according to the report, made her own accusations against the man. Devine reported to police headquarters and was arrested.
