Man From Barnstead Indicted On Kidnapping, Rape Charges: Merrimack County Superior Court Indictments

Woman accused of stealing money from children; Belmont educator indicted on fondling charge; Northfield man indicted on tampering charge.

CONCORD, NH — A grand jury in Merrimack County recently indicted the people listed below.

Peter J. Lariviere, 29, of Broad Avenue in Concord, on a felony manufacture of child sexual abuse images charge. He was accused of creating a screen recording containing multiple visuals of a child in .mp4 format on July 27, 2025, in Concord. Eric S. Joyce, 51, a homeless man now located in Concord, on a felony forgery charge. He was accused of passing a counterfeit bill to purchase food at a Concord restaurant on Aug. 29, 2025.

Paul Costello, 45, of South Street in Concord, on a felony motor vehicles; penalties charge. He was accused of driving on South Main Street in Concord on Nov. 23, 2025, after being certified as a habitual offender by the NH DMV.

Melissa E. Weston, 44, of Tanglewood Drive in Henniker, on two theft by unauthorized taking and two theft by misapplication of property charges, all felonies. She was accused of obtaining more than $1,500 from two children between Sept. 25, 2020, and May 11, 2022, in Henniker — funds she was required to protect and preserve, according to the indictments.

Martin Mattucci, 23, of Queensgate Lane in Charlotte, North Carolina, on three aggravated felonious sexual assault charges. He was accused of raping a woman three times in Henniker while she was unconscious — twice between Jan. 1 and March 31, 2024, and once on Feb. 14, 2024.

James Blaisdell, 49, of Carpenter Road in Barnstead, on kidnapping and four aggravated felonious sexual assault charges, all felonies. He was accused of keeping a woman confined to his camper and raping and sexually assaulting a woman between Dec. 15 and Dec. 16, 2024, in Pittsfield.

Caleb Costa, 32, of Forrest Road in Northfield, on a felony tampering with witnesses and informants charge. He was accused of attempting to get a woman on Sept. 28, 2025, to contact police and tell them she made a mistake when she called 911 to report an assault in Northfield.

Nicholas D. Joslin, 42, of Farraville Road in Belmont, on a felony felonious assault-domestic violence charge. He was accused of intentionally touching a child for sexual arousal on May 24, 2024, in Northfield. Johanna K. Patterson, 37, of Shaker Road in Northfield, on five felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited charges, fentanyl and methamphetamine. She sold 20 grams of fentanyl to another person on Sept. 3, 2025, in Northfield, 30 grams of fentanyl to another person on Sept. 17, 2025, in Tilton, 40 grams of fentanyl to another person on Oct. 22, 2025, in Northfield, and possessed fentanyl and meth on Oct. 29, 2025, according to the indictments.

Kevin M. Sweeney, 26, of Irwin Drive in Fort Bragg, NC, on a felony fraudulent use of a credit card charge. He was accused of using the credit card of his employer, Skan US, to purchase a vehicle on Nov. 16, 2023, at Merchant’s Auto in Hooksett.
