Sobriety Checkpoint Coming To Salem
NHSP, Salem Police Department will be hosting the checkpoint this weekend somewhere in town.

SALEM, NH — The New Hampshire State Police and Salem Police Department will be hosting a sobriety checkpoint, according to a press statement. The checkpoint will be held sometime the weekend of Sept. 22, 2017, in the town of Salem. The checkpoint is authorized by the Rockingham County Superior Court, and will be conducted under guidelines promulgated by the New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office, according to Lt. N.A. “The New Hampshire State Police and the Salem Police consider the identification and apprehension of impaired drivers and enforcement of the Driving While Intoxicated statutes to be a top priority,” Noyes said in a statement. “Sobriety checkpoints are one of the best methods of deterring the impaired driver.”
