Concord Police Log: Dope Dealer on Probation Allegedly Caught with Pounds of Pot

Plus, man allegedly threatens to kill ex-wife, intoxicated man takes a shot at a cop, and a Weare woman was busted for bouncing checks.

Joseph P. Riley, 23, of Washington Street in Concord, was arrested at 12:06 a.m. on April 24, 2015, on a simple assault charge. Officers were sent to Warren Street for a report of an intoxicated man in the middle of the road. Staffers at Margaritas tried to assist him but he “wanted to fight,” so they left him alone. When police arrived, the found the man, Riley, allegedly “stumbling and tripping over his own feet” while walking up the stairs of the Durgin Block Garage. The reporting officer called out to Riley and he reportedly turned at the officer and gave him “a vicious stare.” Riley allegedly squared off like a boxer to fight the officer and then, swung at the officer and hit him in the shoulder. Riley was taken to the ground and arrested. He refused bail and was held.

Marshall L. Ross, 29, of Elkins Street in Franklin, was arrested at 9:10 p.m. on April 23, on a simple assault charge from Sept. 27, 2014. He’s due in court on June 1.

Tammy L. Sweatt, 47, of Barnard Hill Road in Weare, was arrested at 9:11 a.m. on April 22, and charged with three counts of issuing bad checks, one a felony, against the Capital Area Vet Emergency Services, AVC, and Donovan’s Party & Novelty. She also had a bench warrant for violation of a court order out of Franklin District Court for failing to appear that was issued in September 2014. Sweatt was arrested at Concord District Court and held on $1,500 cash bail.

Michael F. Tierney, 39, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested at 5:18 p.m. on April 21, for default or breach of bail conditions on April 9, 2015, involving text messages on Sewalls Falls Road. He’s due in court on June 1.

Michael D. Morin, 52, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 6:48 a.m. on April 20, on a bench warrant for possession of a controlled drug out of Concord District Court, from April 13, $250 cash to settle. He was arrested outside of the Hess station on North Main Street. He’s due in court on May 5.

Annie B. Turner, 35, of Fisherville Road in Concord, was arrested at 6:55 p.m. on April 19, on two bench warrants out of Concord District Court from Dec. 23, 2014, and Jan. 28, 2015, on driving charges, $410 cash to settle. She’s due in court on May 12.

Rebecca Maines, 40, of North Spring Street in Concord, was arrested at 5:30 p.m. on April 18, on a parole warrant from April 7, 2015, felony theft by unauthorized taking from Feb. 22, 2015, at the Cumberland Farms on North Main Street, and driving after revocation or suspension. An officer stopped a Volkswagen Jetta on South Main Street for not having a valid inspection sticker. The driver, Maines, had a suspended license from August 2000 and a previous driving after suspension conviction from August 2011 in Portsmouth District Court. According to a court affidavit, the Cumberland Farms store manager alleged that Maines had stolen containers of Red Bull from the store on two separate occasions. She was arrested and held without bail.

Edward Burke, 31, of Lower Main Street in Sunapee, received a summons at 2:30 p.m. on March 10, for theft by deception and driving after revocation or suspension from June 2014, at the Walmart on Loudon Road. Burke was in prison at the time the summonses were issued.

Harold K. Davis, 22, of Clinton Street in Concord, was arrested at 2:52 p.m. on March 10, on a felony count of possession of a controlled drug/narcotic drug with intent to distribute. Edward P. O’Brien, 20, of Clinton Street in Concord, was also arrested on a felony falsifying evidence charge. Police were sent to Clinton Street to assist a probation officer with a routine search of Davis’ apartment. While there, police allegedly found 7.5 lbs. of marijuana, a digital scale, a heat sealer, Ziploc bags, and a ledger. The probation officer also allegedly found incriminating communications on his cellphone. While being taken into custody, O’Brien was released from the scene. However, Davis allegedly motioned to a cellphone on a table by the door. O’Brien allegedly grabbed the phone and “quickly exited the apartment.” The parole officer and another police officer followed O’Brien who allegedly “was alternating stairwells from the third floor in an attempt to elude” the officers, according to the report. He was arrested and held without bail.

Joel J. Figueroa, 20, of Peterson Circle in Concord, was arrested at 6:18 p.m. on March 9, on a theft by unauthorized taking or transfer charge from the Walmart on Loudon Road on Jan. 31, 2015.

Miles J. Chamness, 61, of Fisherville Road in Concord, was arrested at 9:30 a.m. on March 9, on six counts of default or breach of bail conditions from March 8, and March 9, on Fisherville Road. According to a court affidavit, Chamness allegedly called, texted, and visited his ex-wife, an alleged violation of his bail. “You and your friends are done,” one message allegedly stated. Another message allegedly stated, “U BETTER LEAVE THE COUNTRY IF I GO TO JAIL.” Another time, when calling her, he allegedly stated, “If I go to jail, I’m am going to kill you, you b-tch.” Chamness was arrested and held on $2,500 cash bail.

Oliver W. Gonzales, 22, of Dorchester Road in Lyme, was arrested at 1:49 a.m. on March 8, for driving after revocation or suspension, suspended registration, possession of drugs, and possession of controlled drugs. He was arrested after a traffic stop on Borough Road after a check revealed that the owner, Gonzales, had a suspended license due to default court summons. The vehicle also didn’t have an inspection sticker, according to police. After being arrested, Gonzales allegedly admitted there was a bag of marijuana and two glass pipes in the vehicle.
