Brittany C. Sprague, 34, of Rumford Street in Concord was arrested at 8:20 p.m. on Jan. 3 on two felony drug possession charges. An officer was sent to the Concord Hospital walk-in care on Commercial Street for a report of a woman with chemical burns who was acting erratic. Dispatch told the officer the woman was leaving the facility. A description was given — including purple hair, and the officer stopped to speak to the woman in the parking lot. The woman, Sprague, claimed to have gotten the chemical burn by putting colored contacts in her eyes, an affidavit said. She said she did not like how she was being treated and left. “The female did wish to speak with Concord Fire,” the officer wrote. After getting her name, dispatch said Sprague had three warrants — failure to appear on drug charges in Merrimack County Superior Court and an electronic bench warrant out of Nashua District Court on a theft charge with cash bail. Fire and rescue teams took her to Concord hospital, the report said. At the hospital, the officer informed Sprague she was under arrest and cuffed her to a chair, the affidavit said. A search of her purse yielded clonazepam pills and a baggie of brown powdered the officer said they “knew to be fentanyl or heroin,” the officer said. Sprague, however, denied the drugs were hers saying three other people had touched her bag that night, the report said. When asked if she had a script for the pills, “she didn’t answer,” the officer wrote. Sprague was arraigned on Jan. 4 and is back in superior court on Feb. 8 for a status conference hearing.
