Career Criminal Faces Burglary, Other Charges In Concord
Richard Kuchinsky, who has felonies dating back to 1990, was arrested again in Concord after an incident at a Loudon Road store.

CONCORD, NH — A career criminal with several prior charges in Concord and the Lakes Region was arrested on burglary and other charges recently.
Around 3:15 a.m. on Dec. 2, 2021, officers were sent to Dick’s Sporting Goods with Concord fire and rescue teams for a box alarm. When they arrived, the building appeared secure and the alarm was reset. Not long after, other alarms were set off at the Pet Smart and Newick’s Seafood, not far from Dick’s. Those buildings were checked as well as Jared’s Jewelry and all were secure.
While there, a Walmart employee spoke with the fire battalion chief and accused a man of walking into the store while it was closed. The witness gave a description of the man. Later, police and firefighters were sent to SuperCuts on Loudon Road and found a front glass door that had been smashed, according to an affidavit. They also saw a man standing inside the building who “appeared to be on some sort of drug” since he was talking to himself while walking around the building.

“The scene appeared to be a burglary in progress,” the reporting officer stated.
Two officers attempted to get the man to come out but refused, according to an affidavit. They continued to command him to leave but then, accused him of pushing a computer off a desk and a bowl of lollipops onto the floor.

“The male yelled, ‘Shoot me, shoot me, I don’t want to live anymore,’” the officer wrote.
The man took some sips from a soda bottle and then, agreed to leave the building. Police handcuffed the man, Richard Kuchinsky, 52, a homeless man now located in Concord. A check found a warrant out of Rockingham County for failure to appear in drug court on a felony theft charge from Nov. 30, 2021.
During questioning, Kuchinsky told officers he had used four different drugs in the past 24 hours including suboxone from the methadone clinic in Concord, mushrooms, fentanyl injected from a needle, as well as methamphetamine — which he had been using, “throughout the entire day” of Dec. 1, 2021, according to the affidavit. He was also accused of admitting that he threw a rock into the door of SuperCuts.
“Kuchinsky said he was cold and wanted to go into the business,” the officer wrote.
Kuchinsky refused the services of a bail commissioner and during processing, an officer accused him of pulling a baggy from under him while in a booking cell. A sergeant and officer went to the cell and requested the baggie from Kuchinsky but he refused, the report stated. After requesting him to hand over the baggie, Kuchinsky was accused of dropping his pants and showing his testicles and penis. He then turned, showed his anus, pulled the drugs out of it, and attempted to put the baggie in his mouth, an affidavit stated. Kuchinsky then fell to the floor and officers were able to remove the baggie from the cell.
Kuchinsky was arrested and charged with burglary, possession of a controlled drug, and falsifying physical evidence charges, all felonies, as well as criminal trespass, resisting arrest or detention, and a warrant on Dec. 2, 2021. He was arraigned later that day. Kuchinsky has a dispositional conference in Merrimack County Superior Court on March 7.
Kuchinsky is no stranger to police and the court system.
Back in March 1990, he pleaded guilty to burglary in Tilton. Six years later, in July 1996, he pleaded guilty to another burglary charge in Tilton. Two years later, Kuchinsky pleaded guilty to three assault by a prisoner charges. About a decade later, he pleaded guilty to a willful concealment-shoplifting and theft charges in Concord. A year later, he was accused of robbery, criminal threatening, and theft in Salem. In November 2007, the robbery charge was dropped but he pleaded guilty to the other two.
In November 2012, Kuchinsky pleaded guilty to theft and four criminal trespass charges out of Epping.
Five years after that, he pleaded theft by deception, receiving stolen property, and two theft charges, and, all out of Concord. In February 2020, he was charged with violation of probation and parole. He was also convicted on a theft charge out of Epping in August 2020 and theft and drug possession in November 2020 in Lebanon. A violation of probation or parole charge was also filed in the Epping case later.
Other theft charges out of Concord were issued in January 2021, February 2021, and September 2021. Also in September 2021, he pleaded guilty to delivery of weapon, contraband in Boscawen.
