Thank You, NH Wrestling Community

For several years, I’ve been publishing tons of photos and results from wrestling matches around the state of New Hampshire and New England.

These posts started as a lark when my youngest son decided to attend a wrestling camp at the end of the fifth grade. He joined the Rundlett Middle School Blue Dukes team in the sixth grade. For my son’s matches, I would often shoot photos and videos, like any other parent. A couple of years into the bouts, I realized I should post the pictures and results on Patch, since I was already there. It has been a time-consuming effort, but worth it, especially when you catch a great shot of an exciting moment.

There have also been some cool stories along the way, including Lily Runez becoming the first girl to win the Capital City Classic in January 2024, and the situation at the Bay State Games in July 2024, when the event went long, and refs left the event, which won a New Hampshire Press Association Award in the Sports Writing category.

After seven years of supporting my son and more than four years of posting photos and results, I’m going to reclaim my Wednesday nights and Saturdays and will be stepping away from publishing extensive wrestling posts like these in the future.

To everyone in the Granite State wrestling community — the coaches, the refs, and the parents and readers, thank you for being so responsive and for acknowledging the coverage, and good luck in all your endeavors in the future. Best, Tony
