Danil Sanders, 27, of Hall Street in Concord was arrested at 9:23 p.m. on July 30 on simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault charges. Police were sent to Hall Street for a report of a domestic. When officers arrived, they spoke with Sanders, who stated there was an argument about a woman’s consumption of wine and being aggressive while controlling custody of children. When he complained, an affidavit stated, “she got in his face and proceeded to hit him a number of times.” He then used his foot to push her away, the report stated, and admitted to kicking her to stop her from assaulting him. The officer noted Sanders could not show him any injuries and accused him of smelling like alcohol. The victim stated she had back pain, took pills, and washed them down with a glass of wine, the affidavit said. She also admitted to drinking a full bottle of wine that evening, the report said. However, she countered Sanders did not like it when she drinks and “he typically becomes very aggressive against her verbally when she does.” She accused Sanders of getting into her face and yelling while she was holding a baby, kicked her in the leg, and stormed out of the residence, the report said. Sanders was then arrested and held on preventive detention.
