CONCORD, NH — An elderly driver from Nashua was accused of crashing into a New Hampshire State Police cruiser on the Everett Turnpike last month.

Around 6:15 p.m. on Jan. 22, a trooper was investigating a crash on the northbound side of the highway in the split lanes of Exit 4. The trooper was using the cruiser to shut down the right lane, Tyler Dumont, a public information officer for the department, said. The emergency lights on the cruiser were also activated, he said.

A driver in a Nissan Altima, later identified as Michael Crissis, 86, of Nashua, “failed to move over” and struck the cruiser from behind, Dumont said.
