CONCORD, NH — The cause of a tractor-trailer crash on Interstate 89 south in Warner on Saturday night was a medical incident, according to New Hampshire State Police.
Around 10:30 p.m., state police were sent to a truck crash near Exit 9, into the median of the highway, after receiving multiple calls about the crash, according to Tyler Dumont, the public information officer for the department. Troopers found the truck — a 2022 Freightliner Cascadia, with extensive damage, after striking a guardrail, driving off the road, and hitting multiple trees.
Warner Fire and Rescue teams arrived and freed the driver, Joseph Johnston, 55, of Otisfield, Maine, and took him to Concord Hospital to treat minor injuries.
