Bow Man Accused Of Driving 115 In A 55 Zone
A man from Bow is facing a reckless driving charge after being accused of driving 115 mph in a 55 zone on Saturday.
Around 5:15 p.m., a Bow police sergeant, working an Operation Safe Commute initiative, was assisting state police at a crash at the Interstate 93 and Interstate 89 junction when they saw a coupe driving at “an extremely high rate of speed,” Lagace said.
“(The) sergeant was able to target the vehicle with a LIDAR speed-measuring device and received a steady speed-reading of 115 mph in this posted 55 mph zone,” she said. “As (the) sergeant tracked the vehicle with the LIDAR, he observed the vehicle make a lane change, from the center travel lane to the left travel lane, squeezing between two other vehicles.”
The sergeant said the 2013 Hyundai Genesis coupe had a missing front bumper and was stopped just south of the Exit 14 offramp in Concord.
The driver, Ndayizeye Aime Clispe, 20, of Bow, was arrested, taken to the Troop D barracks, and processed. He is due in Concord District Court on March 31. Clispe faces a $1,200 fine and a loss of driving privileges for 60 days if convicted.
