Public Safety Heroes Drop In On Inova Children's Patients
Patients at Inova Children's Hospital in Fairfax received a superheroic visit Monday morning from a group of public safety heroes. Volunteers from the Fairfax County fire and police departments, as well as the Herndon Police Department, rappelled down the outside of the hospital building on Gallows Road and greeted patients through their hospital room windows.
NoVA Study To Examine Coronavirus Antibodies In Kids, Teens
As new coronavirus cases continue to be reported daily, the Virginia Department of Health will study coronavirus antibodies in children and teens. The pediatric coronavirus disease serology study will take place in Northern Virginia in collaboration with Inova Health System.

Loudoun Rescue Dog Enjoys Comfort Of Home Hospice Care
A stray dog who was taken in by the Loudoun County shelter and then later diagnosed with canine lymphoma has found a loving home to live out the rest of his life. The couple who brought the dog into their lives takes him on trips to get chicken nuggets, lets him sleep on their bed at night and enjoys his solo singing routines.
FBI Investigates Shooting Of Military Helicopter In NoVA
An Air Force helicopter was flying over Middleburg Monday when it was hit by a bullet from the ground, forcing the helicopter to make an emergency landing at the Manassas Regional Airport. Federal agents were called to the scene to investigate, the Associated Press reported Wednesday.

$2.1M In Fraudulent CARES Act Loans Used To Buy Yacht, DC Home
A D.C. man is facing federal charges for fraudulently obtaining more than $2.1 million in Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans and Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL), according to a release from the U.S. District Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia.
Hockey Player Adam Comrie Killed in Leesburg Motorcycle Crash
A man who died in a motorcycle crash last weekend was a professional hockey player who attended Stone Bridge High School in Ashburn. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said Adam Comrie, 30, died at the scene of the crash on N. King Street.
Gun Ban On Falls Church Government Property Approved
On Monday, Falls Church City Council voted 6-0 to implement a gun ban on its property. The ordinance will apply to possession, carrying or transportation of any firearms, ammunition or their components in the city's buildings, facilities, parks and in streets when used for public events. A statement was added to clarify that the gun ban will not apply to a sidewalk along the periphery of a public park.
