Chelsea Malonson, 33, of Route 4 in Danbury was arrested at 6:40 p.m. on June 25 on an indecent exposure and lewdness charge. Also arrested was Lawrence J. McClosky, 60, of South Fruit Street in Concord, who was charged at 11:51 p.m. on June 25, on an indecent exposure and lewdness charge. Around 7 a.m. on May 16, officers were sent to Memorial Field for multiple reports of two people, in bright orange sweatshirts, having “adult relations” in the park. Officers arrived and found the pair, a man and a woman, walking away from an area previously used for drop-off recycling, across the street from Ratification Way. Police spoke to one of the witnesses, a woman, who accused the woman of performing fellatio on the man in the area “for a short period of time,” an affidavit stated. The pair, later identified as Malonson and McClosky, “denied they were involved in having sexual intercourse, however, did admit to hugging each other,” an officer wrote in a report. They were released from the scene after questioning. The reporting officer contacted a second witness who described the couple and the activity. She claimed the woman was using her hand at her face so she could not see the man’s private parts but described the woman as “bobbing for apples.” The second witness was reinterviewed and she claimed to have seen part of the woman’s buttocks sticking out of her pants but did not see the man’s private parts. She claimed he was grabbing the woman’s breasts as “she was up-down, up-down,” the report said. Concord police spoke to a third woman who described the couple, where they were, and the activity, the report said, offering similar commentary as the other two women. Warrants were issued against Malonson and McClosky in June. According to court records, McClosky, a felon due to stolen property convictions out of Newmarket and Plaistow as well as a burglary conviction out of Portsmouth, all in January 2013, pleaded guilty to the charge on July 27 and received a sentence of one year jail in jail, suspended for two years, as well as treatment and monitoring required. McClosky was arrested again on Sept. 23 on theft by unauthorized taking-less than $1,000 and breach of bail charges after an incident at Concord Hospital on Pleasant Street. Malonson was scheduled to go to trial on Dec. 5. However, on Sept. 14, a motion was requested for a competency hearing. That hearing will be held in Concord District Court on Jan. 4, 2024.
