Sharon Lyn Lantz, 47, of Community Drive in Penacook was arrested at 1:20 a.m. on Jan. 6 on two felony controlled drug charges as well as a pedestrian fails to yield to traffic violation. Around 10:45 p.m. on Sept. 20, 2022, Bow and Concord police were sent to a report of a pedestrian struck in front of the 7-Eleven on South Main Street. A driver in a Volvo struck a woman, later identified as Lantz, while she was jaywalking. “The female was alert and conscious,” the officer wrote. During the course of the investigation, an officer accused Lantz of reaching into her bra and moving her hand down to her side. The affidavit said the officer described the item removed from her bra to be a dark-colored pouch with a zipper. The report said Lantz kept yelling for another woman to come to her — with the officer believing she was trying to pass the pouch to the other woman. Lantz was taken to Concord Hospital and police gathered up her possessions, including the pouch that had been left on the ground, the officer wrote. After securing her property from the scene, the officer checked the pouch and found two plastic baggies — one with a tan-colored powder, suspected to be fentanyl, and the other with a crystal substance, believed to be methamphetamine, according to the affidavit. The officer spoke with Lantz at the hospital, who said she did not recall getting hit but heard a vehicle speeding on the road, so she quickly walked across the street, the report said. When asked about the pouch, Lantz claimed to have amphetamines in it, the affidavit said. Read more about this case here: Concord Police Investigating Pedestrian Hit By A Car At Bow Town Line
