AVON, CT — A youth lacrosse player from north central Connecticut came off the field after a game Thursday and showed her mom a busted pocket on her stick.

"I'll guess we'll have to go to (insert big box store name) to get it restrung," the mom said.

Without hesitation, an opposing coach intervened.

"Nooooo ... have it done at Lacrosse Unlimited," the coach said. "Get it done right. It's worth the ride and time."

Welcome to Lacrosse Unlimited on Route 44 in Avon. It's the go-to place for all things lacrosse. It places equal emphasis on men and women's equipment and has everything from the new goalie chest protectors to goggles on the women's "approved" list to men's helmets to sticks and footwear for all levels of play.

It also services sticks needing new strings.

Finding the Avon store can be tricky because of small signage. It's set back in the left-hand corner of the first major shopping plaza on the left heading north on Route 44 after the Route 10 interchange.
