Manchester Man Faces 2nd DWI Charge After Crash At I-93, I-293 Split: New Hampshire State Police Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A man from Manchester was arrested on a second driving while intoxicated charge after a crash on Interstate 93 and Interstate 293 on July 13, according to New Hampshire State Police.

State police and Manchester firefighters were sent to the northbound side of the split around 10:50 p.m. for a report of a crash. When they arrived, they found a 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into the woods. According to a report, witnesses saw the SUV swerve before it drove off the highway. The Jeep was about 200 feet off the Interstate and was badly damaged.

The driver, Casey Fleming, 25, of Manchester, was suffering from serious but non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Later, he was charged with DWI-second offense.

One lane of the highway was closed for about 45 minutes while the Jeep was removed from the Interstate.

Crash Reported On Route 101

State police and others were sent to a crash on Route 101 in Candia on Saturday. The crash was around 3 p.m. State police confirmed there were minor injuries at the scene but did not have any other information available about the crash at the time of publication.

Londonderry Man Charged With Wrong Way Driving

A man from Londonderry was arrested in Salem by state police on July 10, accused of driving the wrong way.

Around 2 a.m., state police dispatch began receiving calls about a driver in a white SUV traveling south in the northbound lanes near Mile Marker 2.6. Troopers found the vehicle, a 2021 Kia Sorento, after the driver corrected the direction of travel and rear-ended a tractor-trailer, according to a report.

Andrew Hannaford, 31, suffered minor injuries during the crash. The truck driver was not injured, according to the report. Hannaford was arrested on reckless conduct and reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, both felonies, as well as breach of bail and reckless driving. He was held on preventive detention at the Rockingham County Jail and arraigned in Salem District Court on July 13.
