Michael Todd Spaulding, 35, of Warner was given a summons at 9:10 p.m. on Nov. 29 on a camping restricted charge after an incident at The Friendly Kitchen on South Commercial Street.
Gavyn Walter Moore, 23, of Goboro Road in Epsom was arrested at 2:30 p.m. on Nov. 17, 2022, on felony receiving stolen property-$1,501, disobeying an officer, operating a motorcycle without a motorcycle license, misuse of plates, and unregistered motor vehicle charges as well as a warrant. An officer at the Morning Star Condominiums heard loud engines revving, believed to be motorcycles, on Loudon Road. No long after, the officer saw two motorcycles traveling west on the road “at a high rate of speed,” according to an affidavit. Dispatch soon took a report from a caller saying she witnessed motorcyclists doing wheelies in the road, speeding, and then pulling into the McDonald’s Restaurant parking lot. The officer went to McDonald’s and the two motorcycles there were the same ones he claimed to have seen speeding by him moments before, the report said. While speaking with the motorcyclists, both denied doing wheelies, with the officer noting it was about 38 degrees with snow flurries and not typical biking weather. Neither motorcyclist had a license, the officer wrote. The officer checked one motorcyclist, who gave the name “Reynolds,” a birth date, and the last four digits of his Social Security number. The name and birth date matched, but the SSI numbers did not, the officer wrote, and neither did a recent booking photo for Reynolds. The report said the officer spoke with the motorcyclist again, and he gave his correct name, Moore, and birthdate. He was accused of saying, “I have warrants, and I don’t want to go back to jail.” Moore said he used Reynolds’ name because “I missed court” and “I haven’t been able to get in touch with my attorney,” the affidavit said. Dispatch said Moore did not have a motorcycle endorsement and had a no-bail warrant out of Merrimack County Superior Court for non-appearance. The report said that the officer also noticed damage to the motorcycle Moore was riding — including a pair of pliers where a key would normally be located. A check of the plate by dispatch found it was registered to a moped in Bethlehem. When asked about this, Moore said the plate belonged to a relative and just put it on the motorcycle so he could ride it, the affidavit said. A check of the VIN on the motorcycle came back as stolen out of Rochester by a man who lived in Barrington. “Moore stated he purchased the motorcycle for $1,000,” the officer wrote, “but he couldn’t provide me the name of the individual who he purchased the motorcycle from. He couldn’t provide me a bill of sale and he couldn’t explain why pliers were used instead of a key.” Moore was arrested, held, and arraigned via video Nov. 18. He is due back in superior court for a dispositional conference on Jan. 9, 2023.
Nicholas Janas, 37, of Goffstown was arrested on a warrant at 12:48 a.m. on Nov. 9 after an incident at 47 Fisherville Road. He has an active felon in possession of a dangerous weapon in Hillsborough County Superior Court North after an incident in Bedford in July.
