Franklin Sexual Assaulter Indicted On New Sexual Assault Charges: Merrimack County Superior Court Roundup

CONCORD, NH — A grand jury in Merrimack County recently indicted the individuals listed below.

Brandon Abare, 31, of Baldwin Street in Laconia, on a second-degree assault charge. He was accused of throwing a splitting maul at another person in Franklin on Nov. 15, 2025, causing an abrasion.

Nelson Espada, 62, of Blueberry Lane in Laconia, on a felony domestic violence charge. He was accused of holding a baton and threatening to kill a family member on Nov. 8, 2025, in Franklin.

Justin D. Dagnese, 39, of Franklin, incarcerated in the Maine State Prison in Warren, ME, at the time of the indictment, on four felony counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault-domestic violence. He was accused of raping a teenage girl, who was an intimate partner, between Sept. 1 and Nov. 1, 2019, and plying her with an intoxicating substance and raping her again between Jan. 1 and June 20, 2020, in Franklin, according to the indictment. Dagnese, according to the indictment, was previously convicted on two or more aggravated felonious sexual assault charges in September 2022 and Belknap County Superior Court in September 2023.

Jade-Pearl Glidden, 45, of North Main Street in Franklin, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl charge on Nov. 9, 2025, in Franklin.

Gerald S. Douville, 61, of Trail Street in Franklin, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl on Sept. 2, 2025, in Franklin.

Rianna S. Martin, 39, of Massabesic Street in Manchester, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-cocaine charge on April 22, 2025, in Franklin.

Joseph Herne Jr., 39, a homeless man now located in Concord, on a felon in possession of an electronic defense weapon and two possession of a controlled drug charges, fentanyl and cocaine, and crack cocaine, all felonies. He was accused of possessing the drugs and weapon on June 12, 2025, in Franklin.

Travis Bennett Lufkin, 25, a homeless man now located in Concord, on reckless conduct, possession of methamphetamine, and two pistols & revolvers; convicted felons charges, a Cold Steel Double Agent II fixed blade knife and a fixed blade knife, all felonies, on Oct. 11, 2025, in Pittsfield. Matthew Hillsgrove, 51, of Manchester Street in Concord, on a felony in possession of a weapon-a dagger and two possession of a controlled drug charges, meth and psilocin, both felonies, in Concord on April 20, 2025.

Michael F. Spencer, 35, of Pleasant Street in Concord, on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl on July 21, 2025, in Concord.
