Shoplifted Sandwich, Beers Lead to Felony Charges for Homeless Man: Log

Police also arrested Concord, Loudon residents on drug, driving, trespass, assault, and other charges.

CONCORD, NH — Brandon Taylor, 27, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 2:56 a.m. on Sept. 19, 2016, for criminal trespass after an alleged incident at McDonald’s Restaurant on South Main Street.

Jocarl Bureau, 22, currently incarcerated, for two counts of domestic violence-simple assault, two counts of simple assault, attempt to commit simple assault, and two counts of default or breach of bail conditions after alleged incidents on Canton Circle.

Walter I. Healey, 62, pictured, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 3:14 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2016, for two counts of felony theft by unauthorized taking or transfer (due to two prior convictions). According to a court affidavit, police were sent to Hannaford on Fort Eddy Road for an alleged shoplifting incident involving two cans of beer. A loss prevention employee stopped Healey and he reportedly threw the beer on the ground and walked away. Police later arrested him and he was held without bail. After the arrest, police found an active warrant from an alleged incident at Hannaford from the afternoon of Sept. 3, 2016, involving beer and a sandwich shoplifted from the store. According to a loss prevention officer, he allegedly placed the items in a Market Basket shopping bag and when stopped, reportedly claimed he bought the items at Market Basket, according to a court affidavit. The officer looked at the security footage and immediately recognized the suspect as Healey. A warrant for his arrest was issued on Sept. 4. Healey was convicted in January 2013 and October 2014 of theft so the charges were elevated to felonies.

Cody A. Ordway, 32, of Ripley Street in Concord, was arrested at 4:12 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2016, for two counts of possession of controlled drugs after an alleged incident on Village Street in Penacook.

Matthew J. Smith Hewey, 21, of Loudon Road in Concord, was arrested at 5:20 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2016, for possession of controlled drugs after an alleged incident on Loudon Road.

David W. Parent, 51, of Elijah Street in Concord, was arrested at 7:11 p.m. on Sept. 19, 2016, for operating without a valid license, driving after revocation or suspension, and suspended registration. He was arrested on North State Street.

Brian S. Demeritt, 48, of Fayette Street in Concord, was arrested at 9:15 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2016, for two counts of simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault after an alleged incident on Fayette Street.

Ronald Versfelt, 43, of South Fruit Street in Concord, was arrested at 10:20 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2016, on a bench warrant after an alleged incident on Water Street under the bridge.

Shannon E. Williamson, 39, of North State Street in Concord, was arrested at 11:41 a.m. on Sept. 20, 2016, for driving after revocation or suspension after a traffic stop on Loudon Road.

David E. Austin, 20, with a last known address of School Street in Loudon, was arrested on July 20, 2016, for three counts of possession of controlled drugs, two of them felonies. On June 30, an officer was sent to the McDonald’s Restaurant for a report of found property. The manager handed the officer a Northface backpack that had been left in the dining room and stated that she thought it belong to Austin. The officer checked the bag for security reasons and also to find out who owned it and allegedly found a Ziplock bag with 44 Xanax tablets, eight Suboxone strips, and a small amount of marijuana. Another compartment held pay stubs from a local eatery in the name of Austin and a form from the Merrimack County Diversion Center in his name as well, according to an affidavit that was issued on July 6.
