Larry Davenport, 47, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 1:46 p.m. on April 22 on a felony stalking charge and breach of bail. Police were sent to the Concord Antique Gallery for a woman who was inside the store yelling. The officer met with the woman who said she requested police because she was being followed by Davenport, and she was a protected party against him, an affidavit stated. The officer eyed the domestic violence and stalking order, issued in November 2022, and confirmed he was not supposed to be near the woman. The officer also found three other arrests between December 2022 and early April. The woman was interviewed and said the incident occurred at Centerpoint Church on North State Street, where she was having lunch at the soup kitchen, and accused Davenport of assaulting her again. She left the area and walked toward Storrs Street, the report said. The officer then went to the church, spoke with an employee, and confirmed Davenport was involved in a disturbance with the woman, an affidavit said. The officer eyed surveillance video at the church and parking lot and confirmed there was a disturbance between the two, the report stated. Later, officers were sent to The Friendly Kitchen on South Commercial Street for a separate call and told dispatch they were with Davenport. The reporting officer went down to the soup kitchen, saw Davenport wearing the same clothes as the footage on the church surveillance, and questioned him about being with the woman. Davenport was accused of denying being with the woman. After being asked again, he was accused of saying he saw her at lunch but left because she was there. When the officer said he saw surveillance footage of Davenport sitting with the woman and arguing, too, he “refused to answer any more questions” and was arrested, the affidavit said. Since Davenport was convicted of stalking in Hooksett in July 2016 and Merrimack County Superior Court in December 2016, the charge was elevated to a felony.
