A detective was assigned to investigate fraudulent charges to credit cards raised by a man reporting nearly $6,900 in purchases including three different purchases totaling $2,185 at Best Buy, Chinese food delivered to Fisherville Road, and other items from June 5. The detective was able to identify a “distinctive” Chevrolet bow tie emblem tattoo in the suspect’s forearm, according to an affidavit. On July 14, the Concord Regional Crimeline received a tip accusing Guay of stealing a Citizens Bank credit card, belonging to a business in the West End. The tipster was contacted and had a lot of information about the case including the purchases made at Best Buy and the address of the food delivery, the report stated. Guay was also known to have such a tattoo, the affidavit said. Despite losing “a considerable amount of weight during the past few years,” the detective was able to match surveillance footage at Walmart and Best Buy with previous booking photos of Guay, an affidavit stated. A warrant was issued for his arrest on Aug. 23.
