Savannah Bowles, 24, of Province Road in Barnstead was arrested at 12:51 a.m. on Sept. 2 on two felony counts of possession of a controlled drug as well as criminal mischief and deal-possess prescription drugs charges. An officer on North State Street saw a woman, “shuffling through the grass area on the side of the road.” The officer wrote a vehicle was running in the parking lot of the new Veano’s-To-Go. The officer asked the woman, Bowles, what she was doing, and she said she was looking for a phone which was owned by the driver of the running vehicle, the report said. Bowles said she threw the other woman’s phone out the window and appeared “extremely disheveled,” the report said. A second officer arrived and spoke with the driver. The first officer asked Bowles if she had been drinking and she was accused of denying she had. Later, she took a portable breath test and blew a 0.00, the officer wrote. Bowles claimed the other woman was “very abusive,” had cheated on her, had thrown and broke her phone the previous week, and had anger issues, the affidavit stated. “Savannah stated that instead of punching (the other woman), she just threw her phone out the window,” the report said. The officer noted the phone had an Apple crash alert notification activated earlier in the area of North State and Rumford streets but when the officer checked the area, they did not find a crash. Officers helped look for the phone, which was found, with a crack, and was given back to the driver, the report said. As she was preparing to be arrested for criminal mischief, Bowles was accused of telling officers she had medication in her purse, Framapram, known as “Mexican Xanax,” belonging to a family member, but did not have the prescription. However, the affidavit said the bottle did not have a name attached to it. After being arrested, an inventory search of her purse yielded two small baggies with crystal meth and fentanyl, the report said. Bowles denied the drugs were hers and said they belonged to the driver, the affidavit said. The Framapram was sent to the state police lab.
