Breaking from earlier today. Per a source deemed reliable, it may be that progress is being made with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) Secretary E. Scott Turner led agency on implementing an existing law that could rapidly solve the housing crisis without new taxes or added federal spending. If so, that would be wonderful for millions. But until that announcement
is formally made and then acted upon, prudence dictates that "We the People" should act as if the status quo for the last 50 years is going to roll on unless something meaningful is done.

Why Manufactured Housing Is the Common-Sense Solution
Decades of research reveal that modern manufactured homes are safe, energy-efficient, and cost-effective.
They meet federal construction standards and can be deployed quickly to meet housing demand.
Yet, despite their proven value, they are often excluded by local zoning laws—laws that federal enhanced preemption under the 2000 Reform Law was designed to override.
Enforcing the 2000 Reform Law enhanced preemption and DTS mandates would allow manufactured homes to compete fairly with conventional housing. This isn’t a left or right issue—it’s a constitutional, economic, and humanitarian one.
