Jason Derek Woody, 40, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 12:09 a.m. on April 15 on two felony controlled drug charges. Just after 11:15 p.m. on April 14, officers were sent to the Durgin Block Garage on School Street for a report of drug activity, specially, Woody was accused of doing drugs and dancing in the elevator, which was seen on surveillance camera. An officer pressed the elevator button sending Woody from the fifth floor to the ground entrance, a report said. The officer asked him if he was doing drugs, but he denied he was, an affidavit said. Dispatch told the officers they would find the drugs in one of his front pockets, the report said. When asked if he would relinquish the drugs, Woody was accused of handing over a piece of burnt tinfoil from his pocket. “During my conversation with Mr. Woody,” the officer wrote, “his head continually rolled, and he could not focus his attention on anything I said.” Woody was taken into protective custody for drug use and during a pat down, a small plastic baggie with a tan, powdered substance, consistent with heroin-fentanyl, was found in his sock, an affidavit said. During processing at police headquarters, a small plastic bag of crystalized substance, consistent with methamphetamine, was found in his wallet, a report said. Woody declined bail, the officer wrote, and was taken to Concord Hospital to be medically cleared for drug intoxication and some leg pain. He was then taken to the Merrimack County Jail. According to corrections staff, another small baggie containing heroin-fentanyl was found on the underside of his shorts, the report said.

Woody was also arrested at 3:12 p.m. on April 12 on two felony controlled drug charges and a criminal trespass charge. Police were sent to North Main Street after an owner accused Woody of being in his building, violating a trespass order. The owner of the building accused Woody of using a restroom on the second floor, “an ongoing issue for months,” the report said. He had been trying to catch him in the act — believing he was using drugs in the bathroom and then flushing items, like needles, down the toilet, the report said. The officer knocked on the door and requested Woody exit the bathroom, which he did, the affidavit said. He was accused of admitting he had drugs and was handcuffed by police. A second officer collected Woody’s belongings, including two backpacks, from the bathroom. Inside one of the backpacks was a lockbox with half a pressed finger of heroin-fentanyl, about 5 grams, inside, the affidavit said. During processing, more drugs were found in the lockbox, including two small baggies of what appeared to be crack cocaine, the report said. Woody had been trespassed from the building on March 6. He was released on personal recognizance bail later.
