Hooksett Man Accused Of Arson, Restraining Woman Inside Burning Home: Court Roundup

Allenstown man with priors indicted on assault of police sergeant charge; convicted thieves face more charges; man indicted burglary charge.

CONCORD, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Merrimack County Superior Court.

Daemon Barrett, 21, of Bow Street in Franklin on falsifying physical evidence and two controlled drug act; acts prohibited, cocaine and diazepam, charges, all felonies. He was accused of possessing drugs and attempting to impair an investigation by leaving the cocaine in the back of a Concord police cruiser on Oct. 14, 2022.

Christian Beck, 36, of Center Road in Salisbury on a felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-fentanyl charge in Concord on Sept. 6, 2022.

Benjamin B. Berry, 28, of Holt Street in Concord on a felony theft by unauthorized taking charge. He was accused of concealing bike tires in a bag at Walmart on Loudon Road in Concord on Sept. 2, 2022. Twice before, according to the indictment, he was convicted on theft charges.

Joshua A. Brooks, 37, a homeless man now located in Concord, on a felony receiving stolen property charge. He was accused of retaining a stolen Trek mountain bike in Concord on Aug. 17, 2022.

Haleen A. Buonano, 46, a homeless woman now located in Concord, on a felony a receiving stolen property charge. She was accused of stealing a bottle of Malibu liquor from the New Hampshire Liquor and Wine Outlet in Concord on Oct. 25, 2022. Twice before, according to the indictment, she has been convicted on theft charges.

Katherine Carr, 41, of Cinnamons Reach Road in Henniker on a felony receiving stolen property charge. She was accused of retaining stolen property in Henniker in March 27, 2022.

Richard R. Carter, 30, of South Bow Road of Hooksett on arson, criminal restraint, and second-degree assault charges, all felonies. He was accused of strangling a woman, an intimate partner, setting her house on fire, and entrapping her inside on Oct. 23, 2022, in Hooksett.

Michael A. Courchesne, 33, of Whitten Street in Allenstown on a simple assault-enhanced charge. He was accused of assaulting a Hooksett police sergeant on Aug. 22, 2022.

Johnathon Michael Couturier, 37, of South Main Street in Concord on a felony penalty; registration of criminal offenders charge. He was accused of failing to notify Concord police of a Facebook account he created on June 27, 2022. Couturier was previously convicted of certain uses of computer services prohibited, requiring him to register as a sex offender.

Alex R. Crowder, 33, of Catamount Road in Northwood on a felony burglary charge. He was accused of burglarizing a home on Harrod Street in Concord on April 7, 2019.
