An officer on North Main Street saw a pickup truck make an illegal lefthand turn from Franklin Street toward Interstate 393. The truck stopped at the red light on I-393 at Commercial Street and the officer ran a check on the registration and found it belonged to Groesser. The check found a parole board warrant from the day before after he was convicted of armed robbery with a bomb. The driver, the officer wrote, was a man, so he requested backup to pull the vehicle over. On I-93 north near Mile Marker 41.2, the pickup was stopped, Groesser was confirmed to be the driver, and arrested after dispatch confirmed the warrant, a report stated. The officer accused him of possessing a glass vial with crystal shards consistent with methamphetamine. When asked about the meth, he was accused of admitting to being a user. Groesser also has an active drug charge out of Concord from May, working its way through superior court. He has a dispositional conference hearing on Nov. 3.

Antwun S. Whitney, 36, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 8:14 p.m. on Sept. 7 on three theft by unauthorized taking charges, all felonies due to two prior convictions. On June 21, June 23, and June 24, officers and detectives were sent to the New Hampshire State Liquor and Wine Outlet at 80 Storrs St. for past tense theft incidents. The suspect was accused of entering the store and stealing 375 ml bottles of Jim Beam whiskey all three different days. The investigators eyed video footage and the suspect was described as a Black man with short cornrow hair and about 6 feet tall and 200 pounds. The officers and detective compared reports and on June 27, one of the officers located a man matching the suspect’s description near Joann Fabrics and identified him as Whitney. “I attempted an interview with Antwun, but he advised he did not know what I was talking about,” the officer wrote. “During our conversation, Antwun asked me, hypothetically, what would happen if he did tell me he stole. I told Antwun that either way, I had him on video footage, but that I was looking for an explanation on why he stole and for him to be honest.” Whitney, the officer wrote, refused to speak any further, and the conversation ended. A check found he was convicted on felony receiving stolen property charges in Hillsborough County Superior Court North and Strafford County Superior Court in August 2013, elevating the charges to felonies, and a warrant was issued against him on July 2.
