Hidden Gems Of Hartford And Tolland Counties

ELLINGTON, CT — The latest Hidden Gem is a big pink chair sitting on the lawn of a business in Ellington.

Ok ... If it's so big, it can't be hidden, one might surmise. Well, don't blink while driving on Route 83 or you might miss it. But once you do that double-take and realize what it is, a stop or at least a slowdown usually follows for a photo op at the chair.

The chair sits at 216 West Road in Ellington, the local address for that section of state Route 83. It sits just off the roadway at Kloter Farms, a business known for crafted sheds, garages and backyard buildings as well as outdoor furniture.

During the warmer months, families gather at the big pink chair for fun photos.
