Weare Man, With Several Priors, Faces Jennings Drive Assault Charges: Concord Police Log

CONCORD, NH — Steven Joseph Pestka, 65, of Juniper Lane in Concord was arrested at 4:35 p.m. on Aug. 29, 2024, on a stalking charge. An officer took a past tense report from a woman around 1:15 p.m. accusing Pestka of violating a restraining order by being outside her home. The officer spoke to her via phone. The woman said she was outside on her porch when she saw a silver Volvo pull in front of her driveway and he was inside, an affidavit stated. She accused Pestka of going to the mailbox, opening it, and then leaving. The officer confirmed the protective order, issued about two weeks before, ordering Pestka not to come within 300 feet of the woman. The officer used an online map to measure where she was and he was accused of being, and found them to be about 61 feet apart, the officer wrote. The officer called Pestka and asked him if he was at the home. He confirmed he was there, checking for an important piece of mail, but when he found out it was not there, he left, the affidavit said. When told the restraining order required him to be 300 feet from the protected party, “Steven attempted to change his story,” the report said. The officer told Pestka he admitted to being at the mailbox and requested he come to police headquarters. He later did and was arrested, processed, and taken to jail. The officer noted in the report that Pestka was wearing the same clothes the protected party claimed he was wearing, according to the affidavit. He was scheduled to be arraigned in Concord District Court on Aug. 30.

David L. Josselyn, born 1988, of Concord was arrested at 2:35 p.m. on Aug. 27 on a bench warrant after an incident or investigation at the Sun Bright Coin Operated Laundry at 124 Loudon Road.

Christopher S. Regan, 32, of Concord was arrested at 8:58 a.m. on Aug. 26 was arrested on a resisting arrest or detention after an incident or investigation at Regency Hill Estates at 12 E. Side Drive.

Emmanuel Muhire, 34, a homeless man now located in Concord, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. on Aug. 25 on disorderly conduct, criminal threatening, and simple assault charges. Steven Joseph Hamel Jr., born 1987, of Concord was arrested at 12:11 p.m. on Aug. 24 on two felony possession of a controlled drug charges as well as three bench warrants. He was arrested after an incident or investigation on the Gas House Bridge on Water Street.

Mercy Mbarushimana, 21, of Weare was arrested at 7:40 p.m. on Aug. 23 on criminal trespass, two simple assault, and two domestic violence-simple assault charges as well as a generic city ordinance violation. He was arrested after an incident or investigation on Jennings Drive.

Ashley Cheyenne Green, 25, of Concord was arrested at 11:20 p.m. on Aug. 22 on willful concealment and theft by unauthorized taking-less than $1,000 charges. She was arrested after an incident or investigation at Market Basket at 80 Storrs St.

Brittany L. Shaw, born 1997, of Warner was arrested at 12:26 p.m. on Aug. 21 on a simple assault charge after an incident or investigation at Concord Hospital at 250 Pleasant St.

Jason Morgan, born 1972, of Campton was arrested at 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 on a felony burglary charge after an incident or investigation on Mountain Road.

Jason Edward Brooks, born 1979, of Concord was arrested at 1:04 p.m. on Aug. 7 on a felony operating after being certified as a habitual offender and stop-stand-park prohibited and false report to law enforcement violations. He was arrested after an incident or investigation on Storrs Street. At 2:21 p.m., he was charged with criminal threatening and simple assault after an incident or investigation at Cheers at 17 Depot St. Ten minutes later, he was given a summons on a warrant at police headquarters.

Angela M. Spataro, born 1992, of Concord was arrested at 7:16 p.m. on Aug. 6 on a bench warrant after an incident or investigation at the Everett Arena at 15 Loudon Road.

Sarah Ann Spencer, born 1975, of Concord was arrested at 8:46 p.m. on Aug. 5 on simple assault and domestic violence-simple assault charges after an incident or investigation on North Main Street.
