STAFFORD, CT — An Enfield resident and his son were headed to Stafford Motor Speedway recently and were looking to get a bite to eat before getting to the track.

"So we're cruising along Route 190 and getting hungry," the dad said. "Then I realized we were coming up on Dickson's. I turned to my son and said, "the hot dogs are pretty good there."

"Dad, there are pretty good hot dogs," the son said.

Dickson's is tucked off Route 90 at a curve near the Stafford veterans monuments. Its reputation for satisfying the munchies for both young and old has persevered since 1988.

And it's not only the hot dogs. Dickson's has tasty burgers and plenty of ice cream varieties to go around.
