ENFIELD, CT — The latest trip to a Hidden gem takes us to "the quiet side" of Enfield and up a meandering farm driveway. There, we find an ice cream shop with a cool logo and a menu that takes three large placards to display.

Welcome to Collins Creamery at 9 Powder Hill Road.

The creamery offers traditional flavors in cups, cones and as part of sundaes and shakes and "stampedes,' but also flavors from toasted almond to rum raisin to watermelon to "Grapenut" to s'mores. Ice cream cakes and pies are also on the menu.

And about that logo ...

The glancing cow seems to be smiling as it welcomes customers to Collins Creamery and it reminds them they are "on the quiet side of town."
