EAST HARTFORD, CT — Last week, an area resident was heading home before a party and noticed she was behind a distinct food truck getting off Interstate 84.

"Ohhhhh ... maybe that's headed to the event," she thought.

Sure enough, the Craftbird Food Truck was there, which led to much rejoicing.

As the name implies, the truck specializes in hand-crafted chicken sandwiches and tenders that seriously melt in one's mouth.

At last week's event, the menu featured three types of chicken sandwiches, a roasted veggie sandwich, truffle mac and cheese bites and hand-cut potato wedges with seasoning options. An heirloom tomato Caprese salad and crispy Brussels sprouts with a smoked maple vinaigrette were also on the menu.

The motto is: "At Craftbird we take deliciousness seriously. With all house-made ingredients we strive to take your tastebuds to the next level," and it is no lie.

All sandwiches and tenders can also be made gluten-free with separate fryers and
gluten free buns.

The truck can be found all over Hartford and Tolland counties. See more at the Craftbird website.
