Hidden Gems Of Hartford And Tolland Counties

MANCHESTER, CT — The latest Hidden Gem is a new location for a familiar business in town.

It's Most Excellent Cards & Collectibles, now at 169B Hale Road at the Old Bed Bath and Beyond location in the Buckland Hills commercial district. The business moved there in August from its former location 4 miles away.

Its owners describe the business as "30,000-square-feet of geekness."

Along with gaming cards, Most Excellent now features new comics (always 20 percent), back issues, statues, Funko Pops, action figures and board games.

One step inside the store, one can feel the statues and action figures staring. It seems like 10,000 people, maybe more.
